If he wants to listen to Deutsche Welle, Radio Netherlands etc most of them are available online only, they shut down their English broadcasts long ago.
I have a Squeezebox streaming radio, it's kind of old, probably about 10 years old, but maybe there's something comparable sold nowadays. I can listen to many streaming stations like NPR, BBC Radio, etc. I can get many US AM & FM radio station streams, some are region locked however and so I can't hear them
My streaming radio has 6 memory buttons on the front which would be a good feature for a visually impaired person
What about getting a radio scanner and putting in local ham repeater frequencies? Maybe he would get a kick out of listening to those guys. I know I do lol.
