Only problem is it doesn't fit the stock tow hook well. So I found these other washers (that I use in conjunction with the ones that came with the shackle)
Bit pricey for what they are, but my dad has a forester as well, so I will either give him the second set, or use it for off the trailer hitch (whenever I get around to that). Oh, and I plastidipped the stock tow hook so it matched. Holding up ok thus far.

This is actually an oem tow hook from amazon that has a significantly smaller hole than the tow hook in the trunk. I used some conical isolators to keep the D ring snug. Probably won't do one in back just because it sticks up much farther than the one in front. D rings ordered off amazon too.
