I'm going to make a crazy hobbyist suggestion. I suspect you'd be better off booming the H2 itself than buying that Neewer mic and running a 3.5mm cable to your recorder. You need the following:

• A 10 foot 3.5mm male-to-male audio cable.
• A telescoping painter's pole.
• A painter's pole to 1/4"-20 thread adapter.
• A camera tripod ball head that takes a male 1/4"-20 on one end and a female on the other.
• An H2 shock mount.
• Gaffer tape (or the closest thing you have to it).

Connect as follows: H2 -> Shock Mount -> ball head -> adapter -> painter's pole.

Use the audio cable to connect your head phones to the H2. You'll get interference, but that will been in your headphones, not in your recording. Make sure to wrap the cable around the pole and tape it down so it doesn't slap.

Try changing up your gain and polar patterns to see what kind of sound you can get. Can't promise it'll be great, but a used Takstar would probably be better than that Neewer mic.
